Abstract
The CaZrO3/MgAl2O4 quasibinary system is promising for high-temperature structural applications at high temperatures. In our previous study, porous CaZrO3/MgAl2O4 composites with high strength were successfully prepared via reactive sintering of CaMg(CO3)2, ZrO2 and Al2O3 mixtures. In this study, several types of porous CaZrO3/MgAl2O4 composites were prepared by using reactive sintering of different powder mixtures. The initial CO2 composition in powder mixtures and the additives strongly affected the porous microstructure.
