Abstract
The shrinkage behavior of a powder compaction during a heat-up procedure is generally used for preliminary monitoring of sintering in ceramic research. Sintering parameters are often discussed, regarding with powder processing phenomena, such as the compaction, connectivity, agglomeration of primary particles. Our viewpoint is to apply MSC to find some parameters or natural properties of powders themselves, such as composition, surface property etc. using sintering curve analysis. Catalytic powder products themselves are unique, depending on synthesis or fabrication method, and especially composition, which should induce the best performance of function targeted. Sintering phenomenon depends on diffusion rate in bulk and grain-boundary of powder. Sintering curve analysis depending on heat rate suggested the several stage of sintering and combination of sintering mechanism during heat up procedure of powders.
