Abstract
Rubber lsostatic Pressing (RIP) is a new powder compaction method for near-net shaping. Though it was developed for producing green compacts of permanent magnet powders, recently, it becomes to be applied to not only magnets but also many other materials of metal or ceramics. In this paper, principle of RIP is explained, and then, forming performance is estimated by using metal powders. Moreover, a ceramic ornament is introduced as a new application of RIP.
