Abstract

Generally, ceramics are made from powders through shape forming and then sintering. However, the sintering method is not always effective in material forming method. If ceramics can take casting method, ceramics can be formed more effectively. Especially, when we try to make nano-structured bulk ceramics by sintering method, it will require a lot of special technique and much time. In this research, in order to show that ceramics can also choose the casting method as one of the forming methods, we took the rapid solidification method and got the amorphous products without glass component. Furthermore, we got successfully nano-structured bulk ceramics by annealing the amorphous products.
