Synthesis and Structure Analysis of Ba4Nb3.16Cu0.13O12

Abstract

We synthesized a novel barium niobium copper oxide, Ba₄Nb_3.16Cu_0.13O₁₂by high-temperature reaction, which was isostructural with Ba₄M₃LiO₁₂(M=Nb or Ta). The single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that this compound crystallize in the hexagonal space group P6₃/mmc(#194) with a=5.827(3)Å and c=19.068(5)Å, and the final R factors were R=0.050 and Rw=0.065 for 371 unique reflections.
