Abstract
Raman spectra of SrZrO3 have been successfully obtained between 600 and 1050°C. The Pnma to Imma and Imma to I4/mcm phase transitions were observed by measuring the variation of energies of phonon modes as a function of temperature. The results can be accounted for by terms of coupling between a zone-center optical mode and an elastic strain associated with a soft q≈0 acoustical phonon.
