Reduction of dissolved organic compouds in water using titanium oxided coated polymer beads

Abstract

A new anatase-type titanium oxide - polymer composite beads for water treatment was successfully prepared by hybridization technique. A beads of 6,6-nylon or other polymeric materials, having similar specific gravity to water, can be easily rotated in water-treatment tank, which is favor both in exposure to UV light and in contact with organic materials in water.
