Abstract
Crystallization behavior of 47Na2O-51SiO2-2ZrO2 glass was analyzed by the method proposed by Ray et al. The number density of nuclei obtained by the present study was higher than that by optical microscope measurement, but the nucleation rates obtained by these methods agreed well. The reasons of this disagreement are considered to be the nucleation during a raise or drop in temperature in the measurement and the temperature dependence of the critical size of nuclei.
