Abstract
An intelligent sensor which can identify a gas species attracts recent, increasing interest. The dynamic response originates from the ambient gas under the transient temperature condition. The dynamic response was investigated with several types of SnO2 gas sensors fabricated by the electrospray pyrolysis method. The characteristic peak due to the ambient gas arose in the dynamic sensitivity and the dynamic response was closely related to the reactivity with the gas at a temperature. Catalysis, layer thickness and electrode material affected the dynamic response.
