Abstract

Cerium(III) ion-doped mixed nitrides, Y2Si4N6C:Ce3+, were synthesized by using the graphite powder as a reductant ("Carbothermal Reduction and Nitrogenation Method") and the luminescence properties were characterized for the applicable use as a yellow phosphor for white LEDs.
