Abstract
Perovskite-type MTiO3 (M = Ba, Sr, Pb, La) nanocrystalline particles were hydrothermally prepared in highly-concentrated KOH solution. MTiO3 nanoparticles obtained were characterized by using XRD, FE-SEM, TG-DTA and FT-IR. For BaTiO3 particles prepared in 50 mol dm-3 KOH solution at 150 degrees, round particles of 50 nm in diameter were formed in earlystage of the reaction and then changed into cubic ones with reaction time. Similarly, lattice constant ac also changed from 0.4052 nm to 0.4016 nm with time. These structural changes are reasonably supposed to be due to decrease of defect in crystal.
