Abstract
Concerning to the effect of drying methods of imogolite solution on the surface area and water adsorption, it was clear that BET specific surface area increases by decreasing of drying temperature and increasing of cooling rate when freeze drying. In the water adsorption, it could be observed the increase of adsorption capacity in high humidity region by freeze drying. Although the adsorption capacity in high humidity region was not changed by alkaline gelation, it could be seen the increasing of the vapor adsorption in the middle humidity region. Morphology of imogolite can be recognized by AFM and SEM microscopy.
