Abstract
After the first report on the Synthesis of TiO2 nanotube by Kasuga et al., much attention was paid to their synthesis process, structure and chemical/physical properties. We have investigated on the relationship between processing and various characteristics, photochemical properties including photo-catalytic performance, electrical properties and so on. In addition, we have developed various kind of multifunctional TiO2 NTs by using doping method, compositing with nano-sized metal and compounds in order to add novel functions. Especially, compositing of TiO2 NTs with semiconductor compound such as ZnS are recently succeeded by using solution chemical and vapor phase routes. In this paper detailed relations between synthesis processes and properties/structural characteristics for the TiO2 NTs/Semiconductor compound nanocomposites will be reported.
