Abstract
We fabricated nanocrystalline barium titanate (BaTiO3) thin films by EPD on conductive (001) SrTiO3 substrates and could convert them into epitaxial thin film below 1000˚C. BaTiO3 nanoparticles, used for EPD, with diameters in the range 8-10 nm were synthesized by a high-concentration alkoxide sol-gel method, and EPD was carried out at 5V for 5min. BaTiO3 nanoparticles thin films before and after firing were subjected to phase and crystallographic analyses using X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy.
