Hydrothermal synthesis of TiO2(B) from glycolato-titanium complex and hydrothermal crystal growth of TiO2(B).

Abstract

TiO2(B) was obtained from glycolato titanium complex by hydrothermal synthesis. The particles had rod-like morphology, indicating anisotropic crystal growth by adsorption of glycolic acid as complexant agent. No crystal growth TiO2(B) particles were separated from the solution treated in several conditions solution. The particles size and morphology were controlled by hydrothermal crystal growth.
