Abstract
In order to achieve a higher removal rate of environmental pollutants at very low concentration, we have prepared the photocatalyst-absorbent composite materials which consist of titania fine particles and X-type zeolite. The composites are prepared by using a melt-quenching of a phase separated high temperature melt in TiO2-SiO2 system and a subsequent hydrothermal treatment in alkaline solution. In this study, we report the absorption and the photocatalytic properties of the obtained titania-zeolite composite against air-rarefied 2-propanol gas.
