Abstract

Uniformity is important in ceramics. In gelcasting method, the ununiformitys of additives such as initiator and catalysts causes ununiformity of the green body. In this study, effect of the mixing condition on the gelation process was invetigated. The gel state was changed by stirring speed. At 150rpm, the gel was ununiformed. The other hand, at 300rpm, uniform gel was observed. These results show the mixing process is very effective for uniformity of green body in gelcasting method
