Hydrothermal synthesis of calcium silicate hydrates with charcoal of bamboo.

Abstract

Porosity distribution of the autoclaved calcium silicates were changed by mixing the charcoal of bamboo and the activated carbon, in order to apply for the humidity controllable materials. The powders of charcoal of bamboo and the activated carbon were dispersed in the autoclaved samples without reacting with calcium silicate. The optimum size and amount of the macro pore of the reacted samples would be controlled by the water / powder ratio, considering the water adsorption to the charcoal of the carbon.
