Abstract
Bi4Ti3O12-based ferroelectric materials are expected to be applied for FeRAM because of their high remanent and excellent polarization fatigue characteristic. In this study, we synthesized Bi4-xPrxTi3O12(BPT) with and without Bi4Si3O12(BSO)-addition, and then heat-treated the products under high PO2. As for the samples, we investigated their properties, average and local structures and ferroelectric performances, and discussed influences of the BSO-addition and the heat-treatments. P-E hysteresis measurements confirmed that Pr increased and Ec decreased by adding BSO. From the local structure analysis, such improvements of ferroelectric performances are considered due to local distortion around Ti and Si.
