Abstract

We have prepared single-phase and dense (Bi0.5K0.5)TiO3-BiFeO3 (BKT-BFO) ceramics from nanosized powder with a diameter of 100 nm prepared by flash creation method and polymethylmethacrylate was used as a binder for obtaining highly-dense ceramics. 40mol%BKT-60%molBFO ceramics sintered at 1000°C for 4 h in air showed an electromechanical coupling coefficient of the length-extensional 33 vibration mode k33 of 41 %, a piezoelectric strain constant (Smax/Emax) of 185 pm/V and a high depolarization temperature of 437°C .
