Abstract

We synthesized a perovskite-type oxide Bi1/2Ag1/2TiO3 (BAT) with high bulk density and resistivity under oxygen atmosphere to confirm the ferroelectricity. As a result, we obtain the sample with high density sample (relative density=96.2%) by optimizing the temperature of the heat treatment of starting material, Bi2O3, and the sintering condition. Anomalies in dielectric constant were observed at 400∼500 K, and 700 K, which would correspond to the phase transitions.
