Abstract
In this study, we report for the first time preparation of CaBaSiS4:Eu2+ material by an advanced chemical solution method and its fluorescent properties. The composition of the prepared compound was confirmed by SEM-EDX. The XRD pattern of CaBaSiS4:Eu2+ can be indexed as belonging to a monoclinic unit cell with the lattice parameters of a = 8.37 Å, b = 6.67 Å, c = 6.51 Å, β = 108.2°. The emission spectrum of CaBaSiS4:Eu2+ has the main peak centered at 598 nm, with the corresponding excitation maximum at around 400 nm. The strongest emission intensity of the phosphor material synthesized within this work approached 96% compared to one of the best commercially available YAG:Ce3+ phosphor.
