Abstract
Addition of transition metal to birnessite-type manganese oxide was carried out by substituting V, Fe, Co, Ni or Cu for Mn in the mixture before calcination. The obtained powders were protonated and exfoliated by tetrabutylammonium hydroxide to form nanosheet colloid. The electrodeposited films were grown in the colloidal solutions by DC electrophoretic deposition with constant current. The cyclic voltammograms confirmed that the deposited film from Cu-added manganese oxide nanosheet resulted in the larger capacitance than the others.
