Abstract
The glass raw materials synthesized by different preparation method were melted in silica glass crucibles and their glass forming behaviors were observed. Granulated raw materials showed rapid melting to form liquid phase and immediately formed thick foam layer on top. Thickness of the foam layer of granulated raw material increased up to three times of normal mixed batch and took about 40 min to decrease to the same level of the mixed batch.
