Abstract
The superplasticity deformation of hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6OH2;HAp) with B2O3 addition has been investigated in this research. The pulse current pressure sintering of HAp compact with B2O3 addition was conducted at 1000ºC for 10 min. Relative densities of the HAp ceramic materials with B2O3 addition were kept being 99%, regardless of the difference in amount of B2O3 of 1-10 mol%. The tensile strains of the sintered HAp specimen with 3 mol% B2O3 addition were as high as 580% at the strain rates of 1.5×10-4-2.4×10-3 s-1.
