Abstract
We have investigated dielectric properties and related microstructures in (1-x)BiFeO3-xSrTiO3 by dielectric measurement and a transmission electron microscopy. It is found that there exists the so-called morphotropic phase boundary between the rhombohedral and cubic structures around x~0.4. The dark-field images by TEM revealed that there appears unprecedented domain structure in the x~0.3 sample, which is characterized as the striped-shaped domain structures with the ~20 nm width inside the macroscopic domain structures. The 0.3 compound can be regarded as the ferroelectric material with the spontaneous polarization of 40µC/cm2.
