Abstract
Silica/titania hollow nano-hybrid particles were prepared by the sol-gel method. At first, we synthesized polystyrene (PS)/silica core-shell particles. Secondary, we coated these particles with titania and then we obtained silica/titania hollow hybrid particle by heat decomposition of the PS core.
In this study, the resultant hollow silica/titania hybrid sol was evaluated by measuring the particle size distribution using the dynamic light scattering method and compared the dispersibility of nanosized silica/titania hollow particles to that of commercial titania nanoparticle.
