Abstract
Yrria stabilized zirconia(YSZ) is widely utilized for thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) to improve the thermal efficiency at high operating temperature because YSZ has outstanding properties, such as low thermal conductivity, low Young's modulus and a relatively high thermal expansion coefficient. Among the intersting TBCs candidates, La2Zr2O7 has some favorable properties, such as lower thermal conductivity than YSZ, a relatively high thermal expansion coefficient and phase stability up at high temperature. The present work describes that the influence of microstructure and the formed La2Zr2O7 by La2O3 addition on the thermalphyscial properties of ZrO2 ceramics.
