Abstract
Saponites (Ni) that consists of silicate layer with Ni octahedral were prepared by the hydrothermal treatment at 200 - 275 degree C. The obtained saponite(Ni) was ion-exchanged with NiSO4 solution, and then, Ni ion intercalated saponite(Ni) was obtained. Since sample prepared at high hydrothermal temperature showed high crystallinity, the sample showed high ion-exchange performance. After reduction treatment, the H2 adsorption capacity of Ni-saponite was evaluated.
