Abstract
Structure of 0.3La2O3-0.7Nb2O5 synthesized by aerodynamic levitation technique was revealed using a combination of synchrotron x-ray and neutron diffraction measurements with the aid of reverse Monte Carlo (RMC) modelling. The average coordination number of oxygen around niobium was 5.06. We analyzed unique structural features of glass synthesized by a containerless processing on the basis of partial correlations and bond angle distributions derived from the RMC model.
