Abstract
This study focuses on the relationship between the amount of coarse particles and various grinding times. Several kinds of powders which have coarse particles were prepared by ball-milling method with various grinding times. The coarse particles in each ground powder were characterized by a liquid immersion method with a co-focal scanning laser fluorescence microscope (LIM-CSLFM). The amount of coarse particles was calculated from each slurry. The total observing volume in which containing coarse particles larger than 50µm are 100mm3. However, the volume of 10mm3 was observed when the size of coarse particles is larger than 5µm. The effect of grinding on the removal of coarse particles was discussed.
