Abstract
Effect of Mn-doping on dielectric and piezoelectric properties of BaTiO3–Bi(Mg1/2Ti1/2)O3–BiFeO3 (BT–BMT–BF) ceramics was investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns showed that 0.5wt%MnCO3 doped 0.45BT–0.2BMT–0.35BFO and 0.3BT-0.1BMT-0.6BFO ceramics belonged to the pseudo-cubic and rhombohedral phases, respectively. The Mn-doping was found to reduce the dielectric loss of the ceramics, especially at elevated temperatures. Temperature dependence of the dielectric properties of 0.45BT–0.2BMT–0.35BFO and 0.3BT-0.1BMT-0.6BFO showed that the response was relaxor and ferroelectric, respectively, with the peak temperature higher than 300˚C.
