Abstract
In order to enhance an ability of C12A7 as an oxidation catalyst by the encaged oxygen radicals, we synthesized C12A7 fine powder by sol-gel method and subsequent ballmilling. Aluminum sec.-butoxide, calcium nitrate tetrahydrate, absolute ethanol, hydrochloric acid and Ethly acetoacetate were used as raw materials. Obtained precursor solution was dried at 100oC for 24h and annealed at 900oC in O2 atmosphere. Planetary ball milling was subsequently applied to the C12A7 powders. XRD measurement showed the synthesized samples revealed it was single phase of C12A7. BET specific surface areas of the ground samples 48.9 m2/g by sol-gel method.
