Abstract
Gold nanoparticles (GNPs)-doped anisotropic mesoporous silica thin films were prepared by a sol-gel dip-coating technique, followed by a chemical deposition of GNPs in the pores using HAuCl4. TEM investigation showed that the well-aligned rod-like GNPs were formed in the mesopores in the while region of the films. The polarization-dependent optical transmission spectra were obtained.
