Abstract
Recently transparent ceramics have attracted a great attention in the field of scintillators due to the capability of near-net shape process, high homogeneity. SPS was applied as a ceramics sintering process because it allows us to achieve almost full densification within short sintering time (order of minutes) and prepare samples very fast. In this study, we prepared rare-earth doped YAG ceramics by SPS and investigated their scintillation properties.
