Abstract
We measured temperature and DTA signal of pure Li2CO3 which was heated with the heating of rate 400ºC/min in air by using thermo-balance with infrared heating lamp. An aluminum cell with powdered Li2CO3 of almost 10 mg was set on thermocouple in a thermo-balance and heated with the heating of rate 400ºC/min up to a target temperature around the melting point of the Li2CO3 (700ºC, 710ºC, 720ºC) and kept at the temperature in air. During the heating process, temperature and DTA signal of the Li2CO3 sample were measured against measurement time. From the results, DTA signal was found at the temperature above the melting point of pure Li2CO3.
