Abstract

We investigated the effect of grain boundary Nb-doping on the thermoelectric performance of La-doped SrTiO₃ bulk ceramics. Grain-boundary-Nb-added samples showed a similar electrical conductivity than that of the non-added samples, while the Seebeck coefficient value of the former was significantly higher than that of the latter, even at a close carrier concentration, suggesting a possible role as energy filter of the Nb-doped grain boundaries.
