Abstract
Fluorescence nanoparticles have attracted much attention because of their potentials for biomedical application, such as bioimaging phosphors. However, conventional fluorescence nanoparticles, e.g., quantum dots, have some difficulties for these applications. In this study, upconversion fluorescence (UPC) nanoparticles which can disperse in aqueous solvents were developed by surface modification of oleate-coated UPC nanoparticles with lipid layer.
