Abstract
Butane is suitable for portable fuels because of easy liquefaction. However, the solid carbon can be deposited on the nickel catalyst at low humidities in hydrocarbon fuels, which causes the rapid degradation of the anode performance. In this study, the fuel flexibility was investigated for the anode-supported microtubular SOFCs at the carbon deposition condition.
