Abstract
Sintered pellets of 3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) were electrically polarized by applying dc voltages. The stored charges in the polarized pellets were confirmed using thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) measurements. Each of the TSDC spectra has two peaks, located at lower and higher temperature. The lower and higher peaks are attributed to dipole polarization and space charge polarization, respectively.
