Abstract
A post flux treatment was carried out for Ba3Si6O12N2 doped with Eu2+ synthesized by an aqueous solution method. After the flux treatment, impurity phases of BaSi2O5 and Ba3Si6O9N4 were eliminated, resulting in the formation of a highly crystalline Ba3Si6O12N2:Eu2+ phase. The emission peak intensity of the sample after the flux treatment was ca. 3.1 times greater than that of the sample before the flux treatment.
