Abstract
The aim of this study was to clarify the usefulness of workshops/continuing education conferences related to “home medical care”, “polypharmacy” and “OTC( over-the-counter) drugs and recommendation for consultation” which related to the functions that family pharmacists should have. We conducted a questionnaire survey of pharmacists who attended recurrent courseⅡ held by Gifu Pharmaceutical University Pharmacy in 2016. This course included lectures and small group discussion for some cases. We analyzed the data of 32 pharmacists who participated in all the course and completed surveys before and after the course. The effective response rate was 78.1%(25/32). There was no difference in the self-assessment on the clinical skills required as a family pharmacist and the selfassessment for the communication skills necessary for a pharmacist between before and after the course. On the other hand, the evaluation on the usefulness of this course was high, and the proportion of answering useful was 100.0%. Based on this results, the evaluation on continuing education conferences with workshop style was high, and it is necessary to continue in the future.
