Abstract

We have made a very simple radio telescope using a parabolic reflector antenna which is commonly used for satellite TV. With this radio telescope we can detect the thermal radiation of the sun and solar bursts at 12GHz. Since thermal radiation in our environment is also detectable, this radio telescape will be useful for physics education. We will tentatively lend this radio telescope to those people who would like to use it.
