Records of Blattella lituricollis collected from Osaka Prefecture

Abstract

In October 2021, the first record of Blattella lituricollis (Walker, 1868) in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, was obtained. A large number of this species were observed at the collection location, and it was thought that the species had been introduced from Okinawa Prefecture because there was a landing site nearby where cargo ships from Okinawa-jima Island arrived. The species was also collected in 2022, and was therefore considered to be established.
