Overwintering stink bugs at a mountain lodge in Oze-Yamanohana, Gunma Prefecture

Abstract

Insects accumulated in the covers of ceiling lamps located in the lobby of the Oze Lodge were collected and examined. The insects had come to overwinter there from August 14, 2022 to early May, 2023. Stink bugs accounted for 30% (w/w) of the total weight of the insects, and more than 99% were identified as Menida disjecta (Uhler).
