The acceptability of various rodenticides and some bitter taste substances in rats, that was analyzed from some sides of gustatory effectiveness, drinking activity in the case of solution, feeding activity in the case of bait and toxicological activity, is reviewed in this report. Furthermore, some tries on the improvement of acceptability of toxic baits or toxic solutions containing these poisons are summarized. Finally, based on these findings, an role of gustatory sense in the acceptability of these poisons in rats is discussed.
