Abstract
Academic studies on philosophy in modern Japan have been mainly institutionalized as those of interpretation of European philosophers. I believe, however, contemporary philosophers have to put an great importance on actual actions of themselves in this society, instead of mere interpretations, in order to face seriously today's philosophical issues on the global scale.
