The History of the Photographic Industry of Panasonic

Abstract

Panasonic started photographic supplies in 1949, flash bulbs, xenon flash tubes, electronic flashes. They had started the production of compact cameras in 1983. In 2001, Panasonic rejoined digital camera business. Since then, their ag- gressive developments/ products have been very well accepted, built in optical image stabilizer, super high zoom and stylish designs. In 2008, Panasonic announced the world’s first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera DMC-G1. After the DMC-G1, almost all manufactures started the development of mirrorless cameras. Nowadays, the mirrorless cameras have been the main stream of the interchangeable lens camera category.
