Abstract

Some experiments were performed in which two-dimensional pictures were successively recorded for various angular orientation of a Kodak 649F plate. Almost completely separated images were reconstructed from the multiple-exposure phase hologram of 5 recordings where the angle between the reference and object beams was fixed at 60° and the angular separation between each recorded image was 5°. Experimental results of the orientation and wavelength sensitivities of a volume hologram of a phase type which recorded the interference fringes were compared with the weak diffraction theory. The effect of the order of successive exposures upon the amplitudes of reconstructed waves was interpreted with the nonlinearity of a photographic emulsion.
