Abstract
The studies of magenta couplers in the 1980's are roughly divided into two main ones. One is the study of 2-equivalent 5-pyrazolone couplers and the other that of pyrazolotriazole couplers, which are classified into two types of pyrazolo [5, 1-c][1, 2, 4] triazoles and pyrazolo [1, 5-b][1, 2, 4] triazoles. In this article, the latter is reviewed.
